In our attempt to "think like bears of action" we have started a teddy bear distribution program supplying toys and smiles to children in need all over the world.

We work with several excellent organizations to distribute the bears to needy children.  In the United States we have been working with Chai Lifeline to distribute teddies to chronically ill children.  For distribution abroad we have been collaborating with Partners in Health, and Partners AIDS Research Center programs at the Edendale Hospital Children's Wards and the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Orphanage.  We have been able to distribute these bears through the Massachusetts General Hospital residents travelling abroad to work in foreign clinics.  Through a very generous startup donation from the Build-a-Bear Workshop, we have been able to supply many teddies to children in need.
